Pros

Leadership at Lighthouse it the best I've seen. They're very transparent on where the company is at. When people bring their concerns, they will sit on their hands and listen. In my time working there, I never feared any kind of bite back from asking constructive questions or giving feedback. They are also pretty good about giving opportunity to those that work hard, are ambitious, and know where they want to go professionally. Even if your career goals don't exactly line up with their vision, they will do whatever they need can to get you where you want to be. Culture at Lighthouse is also very inclusive and laid back. In time of working there, people had fun, were engaging with each other, and supported each other, all while putting in there 30ish hours of billable time in every week. I'm aware that this is not super common when working for an MSP. Both the CEO and COO heavily invested in me in my time there in ways that have become foundational to the rest of my career.

Cons

Pay is statistically very low. Most of the star engineers only work there because of the culture, and Lighthouse is nothing shy of lucky that's the case. Beside leaderships, I can think of 2 or 3 individuals who would easily make 2x more money within a 40-mile radius of Temple. Lighthouse has had to make a lot of changes to client agreements to get people more pay, but I also think that some key leadership believes that the techs/engineers are being paid fairly, which is just not the case. A lot of client solutions are kind of built to cut corners in the name of saving the client a few bucks. Lighthouse has always been a support driven company, some of the actual infrastructure solutions had me scratching my head. The opportunity can also be a tad limited, as like I mentioned, it's mostly a support and customer service driven company. If you want to grow a career in networking, cloud, systems administration, security, etc., you will definitely hit a ceiling at Lighthouse. If you're interested in the business side of IT, then I'd say this is a great place to be.

Pros

Tight knit company, with an amazing culture from the top down. From the functional tools and training given to their employees to the principles it stands for, it's all a cut above most other bigger companies. Well worth the short time I spent working there.

Cons

As a smaller company the base salaries and benefits might not be up to snuff with substantially bigger companies.

Pros

Laid back atmosphere and everyone is on your team. They put a huge emphasis on culture. These guys are the best team I've ever worked with.

Cons

Pay was not very good, (I have heard this has improved since I've been there.) When I was there it was very unclear how to advance. No roadmaps for your career path. (This may have changed.)
