    I have been working at LafargeHolcim full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Decent vacation time. Uniforms and tools are provided.

    Cons

    12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule year round makes it tough to enjoy family time. Managers and area “leaders” are pretty self centered people with zero ability to lead a team. Safety is preached but not fully practiced. Training efforts are a joke, management doesn’t know the job to train people and senior team members have their noses stuck too far in the air and are not willing to help. Don’t come here... expecting to learn unless your willing to teach yourself. No such thing as team work. Can go 10 miles in either direction and make more money so turn over rate is high.

    Advice to Management

    Spend more time supporting and being apart of your teams than you do avoiding them. Spend more time coaching and building your teams than you do threatening their jobs. Spend less time pointing your finger and more time leading the way. Remember, your college degree doesn’t make you a leader. Care for your team members. Support them both at, and away from work. Learn the job they do every day. Anything to support... your team is better than what your doing right now, which is nothing.
