Like many, I went into my role with so much hope for a collaborative environment (or even a tenable one for employment), particularly because there is so much talk of being a "feedback culture." The constant insistence that feedback is taken into account goes against the actions of management.
These are just a few of the unfortunate issues:
-A group of kind and capable employees are trying to handle the work of a team double their size.
-Weekly meetings are spent asking everyone to move "more efficiently" and acting confused when errors occur despite the lack of support.
-There is the facade of training, but very minimal time to complete the training.
-PTO doesn't kick in for 90 days.
-There is a high level of undermining and gaslighting from upper management.
-I regularly witnessed employees bullied in front of the whole team during all-company meetings. No one deserves that, ever.
To those still there: I remember the sense of uneasiness in meetings the moment I got there. There are better things out there and you all deserve to be treated like the pros you are.
