Good Apple Response
4yDear Anonymous,
It causes me great pain to know that you lived this experience at Good Apple, and while it is difficult to read, I appreciate you sharing your experience so that others might benefit. I understand you feel differently, but I stand firm that the company is not racist. I agree that we can work harder to be more transparent, to root out aggressive bosses, and limit favoritism, but these issues are endemic to our small size.
As a private company, we are not required to share how we determine a discretionary bonus, but I am proud to report that last year we gave a huge percentage of our profits to our employees. Like most work places, we favor certain employees, and we do our best to make sure any rewards are based on merit. We are human, and I’m sure sometimes we get it right, and sometimes we don’t.
To any Good Apple reading this, if you experience any issue regarding unfair treatment or bias, please come to me so we can discuss and address it.
To any candidate reading this, I respect this person’s experience and feelings, but do not believe that it represents the average experience at Good Apple.
Sincerely, Albert Muzaurieta
