Pros

The relationships formed with coworkers were wonderful and supportive, that being said the relationships were as strong as they were due to the horrible working conditions and needing to find support to get through it. Kind of like the bonds soldiers make after going through a war together.

Cons

The product itself is horrible and ineffective for customers. The CEO has the lowest level of emotional intelligence of anyone in this type of leadership position that I have ever seen. I truly do not believe he cares for the well being of his employees in any capacity. The culture at this company is unbelievably toxic. Garner embraces and encourages a "call out" culture among employees which leads employees to feel isolated, hopeless and shamed. There is no regulation for peers being aggressive, disrespectful or malicious-- it is simply accepted. The lack of organization at this company is astounding. As an employee it feels you are set up to fail from your first day. Onboarding is nearly non-existent, and the training that is available is unhelpful and so outdated that it doesn't apply to current job expectations.

Pros

Working as an analyst at Garner is deeply fulfilling because the core product actually fixes a massive, broken industry. The sheer volume and quality of healthcare provider data we get to work with keeps the day-to-day incredibly engaging. Management genuinely listens to analytical insights, meaning your findings directly shape product decisions and strategy—there is very little red tape here. The team is exceptionally bright, collaborative, and always willing to help. Benefits are great, and leadership is highly transparent about company goals.

Cons

Because we are expanding rapidly, processes can change quickly. If you prefer a highly rigid, corporate environment with static routines, a fast-paced tech startup might feel overwhelming.

Pros

-A lot has changed at Garner in the last several years, for the better. There used to be a huge culture of micromanagement from the top down, and now that we’ve grown larger that has shifted -High value product with a ton of growth potential that’s actually making a difference -really great peers who are ambitious and mission-driven -good salaries -lots of opportunity if you like to build and iterate -interesting ever changing work -management that really cares about me

Cons

Your experience at Garner really depends on your department. Some work you to the bone, some have weak leadership, others are great. Working directly with the CEO is tough as he is more of a micromanager. My team doesn’t happen to have that issue or a work life balance issue so much, so my experience has generally been good. - low diversity, likes to recruit from consulting firms too much -if you aren’t efficient or don’t use the tools available, work life balance will suffer
