Pros

The people are awesome — friendly and always ready to help. Leadership is engaging and transparent, regularly keeping us updated on company goals and progress, which really helps build trust and keeps everyone motivated. One of the best parts is getting to work with AI. It’s not just exciting — it’s a valuable skill that’s becoming a must-have for developers. Getting hands-on with AI here helps me grow and stay relevant in the field.

Cons

Sometimes deadlines get tight, which can lead to some crunch time (but it doesn't happen often)

Pros

- Solid product in a difficult industry - Great experience in AI - Solid medical/PTO/sick time

Cons

- Raises are only given to the "top 1% of the company" meaning that commitment and hard work will get you nowhere (financially). To get even a meager 3% raise, you need to be going above and beyond your role requirements (leading a new project, etc.). - Above statement renders their performance review process useless. I "exceeded expectations" for 2 years and never received a change in compensation (even got a promotion during this time). Essentially there is no financial incentive to exceed expectations versus simply doing the bare minimum. - Bottom line: The company is cheap and will do whatever they can to squeeze more out of less. I've worked in start up's most of my career and I fully understand the difference between frugality and cheapness. Every all hands meeting leadership would be preaching how well the company is doing and all the successes they've had, yet they cannot afford to give yearly raises to those who deserve it? I left and found a better paying job.
