Pros

You might meet someone genuine if you're lucky

Cons

The company and its "senior" advisors/management leave good reviews to counter balance the real reviews. They continue coming up smelling fresh as a daisy to start with, you go through training and yes when you initially begin all is dandy, It's only when you pass the settling in period that you begin to notice signs that working for this company isn't anywhere near as shiny as they paint it out to be. - Management as a whole - Lack basic knowledge and common sense regarding company policies. Most management micromanage their teams, which never works. It just puts unnecessary pressure on its employees. Heaven forbid you get ill. Especially don't have mental illness, they have NO CLUE on how to support you and put the measures in place to help you remain in work. That's even after occupational health have advised on what they need to do. They always go against what Occupational health recommend and make it up as they go. If you fall behind on targets they place you on an improvement/action plan which if you have a mental health illness - you are classed as vulnerable, mental health as anyone with it knows it leaves you debilitated. Whether it's common knowledge or not, you automatically fall into the disabled bracket. You should be treated with the same respect and under the same rules for that of someone with a physical disability. As it is advertised on TV, in every supermarket/store/cafe loo doors not all disabilities are visible! But believe me no one knows their face from their behinds when it comes to mental health. Occupational health advised: 1) no action plan should be in place not only due to being classed as a disability but because of poor mental health, it places more undue stress and pressure on the individual. 2) Allow individual to have more breaks (personal time) when required. 3) My stats should not be compared to the main targets set because of my poor mental health. The management themselves on THEIR action plan asked what can they do to help me. I advised the above, and regarding call length, to sit next to a level 2 which I trusted and whom were hitting targets. NONE of which were upheld by the company. I was even questioned on the day regarding my "personal" time! targets, which were only really achievable if you either cherry picked offline work (This happened let's just say numerous times - and foot prints were left, and more often than not were always the same people). Call taking, again often the same suspects... Often doing the minimum which led to referring the client to call back once they'd obtained the necessary details/being misinformed, intentional or not. This automatically bounces back to a repeat call(s). Which often led to clients being understandably upset/frustrated when you give the correct information. So I'd often have to start off by reassuring - which added time to the call - which if dealt with correctly in the first instance might not have needed to call back. All clients who I spoke to were more than happy with my customer service and this showed through the rapport built. Other colleagues often commented when they heard me laughing and having enough rapport with clients to have harmless banter with. On more than one occasion the client commented that I had turned them around on their decision to leave. But this doesn't get picked up, because often those calls are the ones either with a list of vehicles as long as your arm, or it wasn't a straight forward renewal. Audits - Are always on shorter calls, and more often than not, these were unhappy clients venting their frustrations, not straightforward calls which due to my medication which causes brainfog, ended with me placing the client on hold to request help. - Often I would challenge an audit and certain auditors wouldn't like that. Auditors are often carried out by the "favourites" and if they do not like you, they will make it known. Management are oblivious because they'd make sure they hid it. Sadly, these people are the ones that progress in this company. These auditors are often level 2+ and I found on more than one occassion they'd give me advice, I then followed it. Then at some point, being that day or a few days, I'd get tapped on the shoulder by management/unprofessional notes were left on a client's policy saying "no name" said ... and even when I challenged it, a) they were favourites and b) they were level 2. They were supposed to give out the right information, so why would management not believe them over me?
