Pros

The staff initially was welcoming and was a nice hospital and the administration was welcoming when I first started

Cons

But the orientation was a nightmare. Some of the staff was rude and not helpful, especially the supervisors and department manager. There was no feedback nor if I did something wrong, it was not given to me. My manager only left me some text messages and maybe an e-mail. When I went in to HR to sign up for benefits after my 90 day probation period, the terminated me saying how I wasn't going to work out for them and they couldn't talk to me because I lived 20 miles away. I was in 30 minutes prior to my shift and would have made the trip in if they called me, but never did. They had nothing in writing for me or and specific problems. Note, I was signing up for healthcare benefits, so how convenient for them to let me go at that time. So I didn't even had a chance at COBBRA or anything. Now I have a black mark on my record because they can now trash me while trying to find another job just so they can save some money. My job was never filled after I left.

Pros

I loved the actual job, taking care of patients, doing lab tests, being good at drawing blood made patients happy.

Cons

It was a toxic work environment, the morale was abysmal, the administration was completely out of touch. The last straw was being told by the CEO himself that the only important staff were the RNs, nobody else deserved any bonus or appreciation for the extra work and stress caused by working through COVID.
