Pros
There are a lot of really kind, smart, hard-working people at the agency, who upper management doesn't acknowledge.
Cons
Put it this way: upper management has no idea how hard the plebeians are working. Upper management is in the 1% and love making more $, while the rest of the agency breaks their backs to ensure they can sustain their fancy lifestyle. Globally, they haven't given raises or promotions in 4 years and expect people to remain positive despite dismal employee morale. Yet some departments can get their promotions and raises pushed through, because it's so political. The current ambience at Conill is bordering on abusive, with 16+ hour workdays and no room for growth. There is little work-life balance. There are a few bad seeds are nice to your face, and but then talk behind your back. There are a couple of people who are downright mean. There are several bullies in positions of authority who are not trustworthy. With them, the backstabbing is insane. You might even call it "cutthroat." Why does a workplace have to be so toxic, given that they generally employ nice, super hard-working people? Besides these horrible morale issues, everyone is burned out beyond belief and again, upper management either doesn't know, or doesn't care to change anything. They're playing ostrich with their heads in the sand. There's no point of even telling your managers the truth of what's happening, because you'll get labeled as "disloyal" + "not a team player" for being honest and/or trying to set boundaries. Upper management won't get it till someone literally keels over and dies from the stress. Or cancer. Stay away from this sinking ship!!!
