Pros
Make your own work schedule, collect hours for licensing, don't have to work in the same place everyday.
Cons
The workload and demands are unattainable, often micromanaged due to the unattainable requirements, favoritism and nepotism are rampant. This is a toxic workplace that does not support a teamwork atmosphere. Interdepartmental infighting. Think mean-girls club, post high-school. Lack of insight and foresight into the promises they make for the community as well as for contracts they are bidding for. I don't think I got more than 4 hours of sleep a night during the regular work week, due to work demands, and often worked through my weekends to catch up, which also proved to be in vein. The workload is just not attainable. Between running around all of Santa Clara County in order to meet with clients (not all of which is beneficial time spent for proof of your "productivity"). There are many other cons, but the PTSD is too much to deal with in listing it all out.
