Pros

- It's a very good product and you will have fun working on it. - Nice tech stack, you can learn a lot. - People is very nice and the day-to-day life is pretty good.

Cons

- Don't expect to grow too much. - Too much secrecy with everything. You will spend a lot of time asking for access to *basic* stuff - Management just lies. You will get stuff promised and it will never happen. - You get the bad part of being a contractor (no paid days off, no severance when fired...) but not the good part (will be given stink eye if you have more clients, for example).

Pros

Probably the biggest pros in Citymapper are the people you work with, they are all highly passionate individuals and have great skills. The company gives you the opportunity to grow in the area you are interested in which is nice snd gives you the chance to find yourself more. Work is interesting and everything is super well organized, even though the team is all across the world (and you can work from wherever you want, too!) No toxic energy among the employees nor managers. The ability to work your own hours and no micromanaging. There is freedom to suggest ideas for areas of improvement and to organize your work how you want (but in the end it is all done). And lastly, leaves you with knowing you help real people and their movements through the cities.

Cons

If you don’t organize yourself well, you might end up working longer hours (but definitely not because you get the instruction from the above to do it). Payment for contractors is based on country they live in which can be a bit bad if someone is performing more than counterpart in more developed countries. No paid time off for contractors.

Pros

- Great and beloved product - High caliber team - Well designed & well located office

Cons

- Upper management silently assents to CEO - Public humiliation by CEO is accepted as a norm - High turnover of employees - Long hours + staying online even whilst on holiday are expected - Low pay relative to market - Any attempt to voice concern is brushed aside - Micromanagement is norm, zero trust in employee capacity
