Pros

Stable hours and a dependable pay check. The office environment if clean and safe. At the O'Fallon location the building maintains a large and well run cafeteria. The food is very good and generally affordable.

Cons

Management was not much more competent than subordinates. This resulted in a lot of animosity between these levels. Work is often tedious and does not change much from day to day. It often has the feel of working on an assembly line- just from a desk rather than a factory floor. The biggest downside is with the lack of talent development. There are a good number of well educated and experience employees in low level jobs who would like to advance. With such a large company this should be possible. However, there is no formal process in place to identify talent and groom it for future leadership roles with more responsibility. This contributes to the generally low morale and high turnover.

Cons

Training was a waste of Citi’s money and a train wreck. Facilitator was all over the place. Normally there’s a flow to training, there was no flow and it was all over the place. OJT felt like sinking or swimming.
