Pros

It's a job, and that's it

Cons

No raises at all, unless you change positions or are in a department where your supervisor is high enough that they can push it through (like Orphans Promise); Those higher up get raises and bonuses, but the little guy gets a $100 a year Christmas bonus and if we're lucky Christmas Eve off; Starting salaries are low in comparison to same position at secular company; during orientation you're told that your job IS your ministry. They make you feel like they own you. It's normal for people to work overtime and not be compensated. You are guilted into doing things and made to feel like you'll lose your job if you don't do what they ask; There is no one of color in top management, there are few women managers. Women in general are relegated to lower level admin positions. Advancement for them is much harder than for a man; Many of the people who work there aren't actually Christians, they admittedly lie to get through the application process. They are consistently taking away benefits and laying people off, meanwhile they continue to spend $$$$$ on things that add little benefit to the community or their parters. They really don't care about their employees - we are all expendable objects.
