Pros

The pay was good, and the discount card. With the discount card you recieve 25% off of boots own products, and 12.5% off the majority of other things. Its still cheaper to but things elsewhere, the card is only useful really at xmas or when they have the staff double discount. However working here gave me loads of points on my advantage card!

Cons

The management was ridiculous, and not just the store managers. It seemed to me that the area managers had no clue, or the regional manager I met. Honestly with the way they handle things as an entire business I'm suprised they haven't closed down. In one of the stores I worked in there was only 1 assistant manager for months, no store manager. I was a customer assistant on the ops team but was given so much responsibility(ie doing jobs that the managers should be doing) that it became the most stressful experience of my life. I have worked in 3 different boots stores now and honestly they all seem the same. Boots would be an amazing place to work if they 1 gave a higher budget to employ enough staff, and 2 the business as a whole cared more about the retail staff.
