Pros

Best Buy is a great company to work for. As a whole the company puts a great deal of emphasis on trying to keep their employees happy. The benefits as a whole are quite amazing, and the compensation is great in comparison to other companies like them.

Cons

I found that on a store and district level that favoritism plays heavily into how management treats employees. Promotions are not always given to those that deserve it, but more so on who they like more.

Pros

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
