Pros

If you enjoy hating your job and getting screwed on a daily basis, then BMW Manufacturing in Greer/Spartanburg, SC is perfect for you! Apply today!

Cons

If you look at what BMW offered before the recession and then look at what BMW offers now, you would be amazed at the difference. BMW gives no incentives or benefits to working there, other than insurance (which really isn't that great). We use to get paid for the week of July 4th. Now we have to go a week without pay just because BMW is greedy. We use to have a pension, but not anymore, because BMW is greedy. We use to have a great insurance plan. We use to have a baseball field on a road behind the plant, but not anymore, because BMW is greedy. We use to top out in pay after two years, but not anymore. Now it's five years!! Starting pay has not gone up but a little over $1 since the mid 90's. McDonald's starting pay has gone up more than that. HOW PATHETIC!!!! There's just too much more to mention. You won't have a life outside of work. Section Leaders are corrupt. HR does not care about your concerns. They put policy into place but they refuse to enforce it unless it's convenient for them. If you go to HR about issues, all you get is blank stares and "uh huh". There's just too much favoritism and corruption. BMW can't keep employees. Extremely high turnover rate. BMW has screwed so many local people, no one wants to work for them anymore. No wander they are having to do job fairs in NC, TN, GA and AL! People use to fight to get a job here, but now BMW and MAU are begging for assembly associates. When you tell management you are hurt, they treat you like crap and try to make you feel guilty. That should be illegal!!! They violate OSHA regulations on a daily basis. So it wouldn't surprise me if they were violating some other laws/regulations also. They preach about ergonomics, but there are no regulations put in place to solve ergonomic issues.
