Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking time to write a really thoughtful feedback.
The struggle is real anywhere in the world about how we could achieve effective listening and communication. Listening is the key to all effective communication and is important for positive human relationships. Without the ability to listen effectively, messages are easily misunderstood. As a result, communication breaks down and the sender of the message can easily become frustrated or irritated.
Politics, though unwarranted, are commonplace in the working world – and most of us have would have been caught in such uncomfortable situations at least once. Learning to manage politics professionally is a skill that adaptable employees will need to learn, and we do recommend taking these few steps to respond if you come across workplace saboteurs:
1. Talk to the person directly, but in a non-confrontational manner
2. Think thoroughly about the issue
3. If necessary, escalate the issue to HR department or higher Management to solve
