Pros
Coworkers are intelligent and everybody is pleasant
Cons
From a sales perspective, this company lacks a cohesive sales culture entirely. There have been constant reorganizations, leaving everyone uncertain about what’s happening. The newly appointed sales executives seem to lack fundamental communication skills, a clear vision, or the authority to take decisive action. This isn’t a company that fosters success for sales professionals. Avanade is still undergoing a significant and chaotic restructuring process, and the sales leadership’s approach has been to stay silent and disengaged rather than stepping up as true leaders. It’s one of the most dysfunctional environments I’ve encountered, which is unfortunate given the potential for greatness the company once had. Recently, the executive in my division held a sales kickoff meeting, and it was disappointing, to say the least. She read monotonously from a script, peppered with bland HR-approved talking points—this was happening five months into the fiscal year, which tells you everything about the level of preparedness. The leadership team comes across as entirely unfit for their roles. Frankly, nearly everyone I know in sales is actively seeking other opportunities because this isn’t a company anyone feels proud to represent anymore.
