No problem solving mindset. Only blaming and moving blame.
Some directors dont have even basic knowledge. They are directors or principal engineers due to proximity to higher management not due to their ability.
Some groups favour Kerala, some Telugu and some North India. Diversity and inclusion is a joke in many groups.
In some groups u can gain promotion by buying expensive gifts to manager . Other tricks are get close to managers who are well known , invite them for parties , buy gifts for their children, wives, help them when they need any help like taking them to doctor etc.
If ur manager has any side business buy from them. If they have a gym join them. If they play football join that club. Save ur manager's petrol Bill's etc by driving them.
For women dressing plays a big role . Many senior managers like u when u dress fashionably.
It is not uncommon to see some diploma candidates becoming principal engineers.
Not uncommon to see someone in a director's post not even interacting with team.
Not uncommon to see someone who never worked in the team with less knowledge becoming the manager.
U can bribe and get job in some groups in India. Completely hierarchical and some groups are like Govt offices. No work life balance in junior levels but improved heavily as u grow higher.
It is unclear what job senior engineer or staff engineer has to do versus principal engineer.
No proper segregation of duties.Manager can do anything.HR only for hiring .No other powers.
Some managers are excellent. They come with variety of experience. They hire right talent.
They give and receive credit.
Some groups have better policies followed.
U find work-life balance.
Good teamwork exhibited. So hang on with those managers .
Same company has different worlds so collect info before going which team u will be joining.
