A narcissistic CEO and a clownish CTO who only care about themselves: as a consequence everybody is just a number to them. Meritocracy is a completely alien concept to the organisation: you'll be promoted only if you become their pet, results don't matter. This has created the "little kingdom of incompetence": a layer of untalented, abusive and arrogant middle managers who have lost any interest for people and only care about their careers (which is logic as they could never land similar roles in any company where they would be judged by their value). Unsurprisingly, the final result is a buggy and hardly-usable product, and a toxic working environment. Finally, don't fall for any of the positive reviews, in fact the CEO, instead of trying to solve the many issues, has requested employees to go and write positive reviews on Glassdoor (trying to fix the symptoms instead of the real problem, a pattern you'll see very often at Appway).
