Pros
Anderson Kill & Olick is one of the few law firms that may be left in New York City to provide a work life balance and more importantly a level of respect to all employees of the firm, no matter how senior or junior. There are very few jerks or screamers compared to other employers and the firm goes out of its way to hold various socials for the entire firm, including secretaries and other support staff, such as BBQ day, bagel Fridays and a killer december holiday party. In addition, the benefits offered are as good as any other law firm.
Cons
At times, Anderson Kill & Olick seems like it is a firm full of various kingdoms and as an employee you are only as powerful as your particular king. It tends to be very cliquish and promotions are not always merit based, but based more on the person who is being appeased. Also, the physical plant of the firm's offices is depressing. It is in dire need of a renovation, while being in a top flight building. Furniture in the offices and conference rooms for example is pretty old, often not matching. There also is a problem of some people doing too much and others too little.
