Pros
Not much - travel was to small towns with $35/day of per diem. Built up rewards points on my credit card and travel rewards programs but had to use my personal credit card to front the costs of travel.
Cons
There is no room for growth. You are expected to work long hours to answer client questions and even if you stay late, they expect you to be at work and in your seat at 8 am. You’re required take after hours UNPAID calls and work on any emergencies. So this meant, taking your computer everywhere during the time you’re on call or staying at home to work. Travel 50-60% of the time if you’re good at your job with very little per diem and to small towns. You have to front the cost of the trip on your personal credit card for reimbursement after the trip was done. Work hours are long and clients are regularly upset about the program not working.
Management is not present. You rarely see them. They’re often in their offices and don’t interact. They lack vision and often seems like they’re unable to say no. A customer funded their initial buyout and that customer has this company on chains.
