Pros
1) Flexible working timings with no specific login and logout time. 2) Decent pay for college grads coming out of college. 3) Free tea, coffee, biscuits, fruits and bread. 4) Office is in a cosmopolitan location. 5) Most of the senior engineers are easily approachable and help the new hires. 6) Job security as employees who are idle are not given the chit.
Cons
1) No cab facility. Fuel reimbursement is given only to managers. 2) No work from home option as laptops are given only to managers and people who are asked to travel for official purpose. 3) Very little development work and lot of work is around code maintenance. 4) No process of any sort is followed in projects. Processes are just defined but never practiced. 5) Engineers are made to slog and work on weekends with no comp off. They are expected to work on weekends. 6) No cafeteria. Have to get their own meal/ get meals from tiffin box vendors/ eat outside. 7) Exit is a pain as notice period is for 3 months and no consideration will be given to reduce it. 8) No benefits like stock options or cash bonus. 9) Team outings are ridiculous. Employees are expected to pay from their pockets if the meagre budget per person per outing is exceeded. 10) Teams size is small and role of each individual is unclear most of the times. Work is not equally divided amongst team members. 11) Hikes are not clearly justified. 12) Onsite opportunities are very limited.
