Pros

Opportunities available early in career and broad scope of company. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. It has a culture of meritocracy. You move ahead based on skills not years on the job. You can make some good money yet that may change given the current corporate situation and the depressed stock value

Cons

It is a very bureaucratic organization with an inordinate number of rules and regulations. Its sheer size can be a nightmare to navigate. It has a highly compartmentalized profitcenter based business model. The number of silos is incredible. There is an effort underway to cross-pollinate yet the the culture of creative friction, intra company cometition, political infighting and a reluctance to cooperate is so ingrained as to be extremely difficult to overcome.

Pros

Good compensation structure, bonuses were higher that the industry average. Freedom to be entrepreneurial and do what I thought would work in my territory

Cons

Zonal management had a lot of turn over at the time, some not qualified to lead.
