- Top manager makes big claims and promises, but will then not follow through with said claims
- Head trainer is an overly emotional and petty person with lacking leadership skills. He chose to terminate my employment because I hurt his feelings by being bluntly honest with him (like almost every manager who worked there when I was there did to us). Top manager backed up this decision after telling me the day before I was instrumental to the team and making his regular big claims
- Another manager there (who's name is definitely not the same as the country south of Florida) regularly had trainers, managers, clients, and even regular gym members complain about his conduct, to include things like creeping women out, low-key sexual harassment, stiring up drama by leaving electronic notes on the laptop of the social media girl at the gym referencing her significant others' cheating behavior and then acting like it wasn't him, regularly treating the trainers like crap and talking to us like we were 10 years old, having a sexual relationship with one of the trainers (which said trainer told me afterward was extremely uncomfortable and scary looking back on it)....and many other concerning behaviors
- Pay was crap
- Pushed sales too hard, and would try to sell members that were obviously not ready to purchase personal training
Overall an extremely disorganized place to work with managers lacking leadership, communication, and sometimes even basic fitness training skills. And with way too much drama happening all the time. If you're a new personal trainer looking for a chill but positively energetic place to work, grow your career and training skills, and build relationships/network with clients and co-workers alike?
Look elsewhere.
