    Pros

Very generous pay when worked out on hourly basis Meet great people Work isn't too stressful Good earner for a summer job in between college semesters etc

    Cons

Poor organisation Deal with students from many different cultures so naturally, conflicts will arise Left to ensure that the students enjoy themselves without the help of management or paid activities

    Pros

EF try to suck out your soul. They state they hire "EF people" with "EF energy" what this translates to for them is great people with lots of drive and motivation that will work hard and they will not reward you in any way and expect more and more. Low pay, long hours, emergency call hours (unpaid)! Then they have an expectation for you to socialise with higher management when they come to visit. why would you socialise with people you have no respect for? Dim witted....

    Cons

Low pay, poor management, poor organisation, expect too many hours during unsociable times

    EF Education First Response

    Senior Director of People Operations

I'm sorry that your experience wasn't what you expected. As you said, we do strive to hire people who are driven and motivated by our mission. We also strive to reward our staff in a variety of ways that go beyond compensation -- including through challenging work; incredible benefits; the enrichment that comes from working with colleagues and customers from around the world; and a fun, flat work environment, to name a few. Our Global Recruiting & Employee Development Team continually works to enhance the training opportunities and resources available to our managers. This work is a direct result of feedback we've received from current and former staff. So thank you for your feedback. It is valuable as we continue to try to improve our employee experience globally. -- Mike Kaufman, Senior Director of People Operations

I worked at EF Education First full-time

    Pros

EF has a great work culture and hires great people The travel is a huge pro to working here Networking with EF employees is strongly encouraged, especially outside of your immediate team and product Tons of professional development opportunities

    Cons

Can feel like an unstructured company, not many processes in place Salary is low, not competitive If you are not hired into a position with a starting group/cohort it can be tough to adjust to such a large company with minimal training and little support system

I have been working at EF Education First full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The great people and international atmosphere. Fun company that’s always on the forefront, many social events. Senior staff often sharing experience and knowledge. Good possibilities to develop and get promoted. Lots of travelling, pre corona at least.

    Cons

I have several examples where the company hasn’t really showed that they care for their employees when they struggle with personal issues. Lots of overtime and you need to pretend that you loooove your job so that’s not a problem. No HR department. You are rated on the fact of participating or not in the many social evens. Low wages and inexistant other benefits.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at EF Education First full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some great people, office hours, office premises

    Cons

Salaries are disastrous, some of these right just above poverty level in Switzerland. Non-existent HR department, absolutely no care for employees, opportunities only if you have the right Swedish, contacts, non-professional management, strong superior culture in top management.
