Advice to Management
when cost cutting, keep bring the teams back together as 'one' with shared goals

Pros
Good variety of projects and roles available. They are big on development and will help you progress if you are willing to jump through some hoops. People are supportive and typically want to help each other out. Good work life balance depending on the department.
Cons
A company of middle-managers meaning we have very little expertise in anything. EON are trying to grow in the energy solutions space but have very little capability from a technical point of view meaning we are reliant on external consultants for a lot of work. The technical engineering expertise and innovation comes from Germany, not the UK. Poor systems that require significant investment but so many areas... require this that nothing improves that much. Too much "silo-ing". Different departments not knowing each other enough. Very few opportunities in London.

Good place to have a stable job, good work-life balance, people/culture is generally relaxed, company is flexible with location and hours
Cons
Management is too risk-averse leading to very slow growth; technologically backward leading to day-to-day frustrations; teams are silo-ed and do not work together well; solar and storage departments neglected

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at E.ON full-time for more than a year
Pros
Great pay, great benefits, great flexibility, (most of) middle management genuinely cares about their teams.
Cons
They run really lean. There isn't much of a work life balance in the accounting/finance side of the business. You'll be working an average of 50 hours a week and when you go on vacation expect to be working. They have either too little or too many controls depending on the situation. Everything runs through Germany. The lean staff and lack of cross training always causes chaos when a staff member is out.... There are some members of management who hold bureaucratic power that are genuinely rude and treat employees like they're worthless.

Do better with mid and senior level hiring and promotions.
