I worked at DuPont full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great pay, benefits and safety culture....

    Cons

Last 10 years only the connected ones, servile attitude, risk avoiders, mediocre talents, have been eating it like termite from within and we witnessed the results.....collapsed like a deck of cards, mergers and acquisitions are hog wash, the bottom line is unfit leadership at every level and typical American way of discrimination.....so unless you are connected and some what "white American" avoid it especially if... you are ambitious and want to change the age old wisdom....

I worked at DuPont full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The organization has strong, talented, professional individuals. The benefit package is above average. Great team work across many of the functions and divisions.

    Cons

The organization is more focused on the bottomline and the stakeholders, than the customer. This tends to drive a negative behavior not conducive for a successful business.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the basics. Concentrate honestly on the customer and their true needs and wants. Deliver what is expected of a top-notch organization.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at DuPont full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

30 years of sharing fun & focus with Mgmt & co-workers. Offered best benefits and salaries in the area. Provided onsite training around latest technology. Encouraged strong performers to be innovative risk takers, i.e. develop & participate in pilot programs. Safety on & off the job were top priorities

    Cons

Not the same company in every aspect described above. Current employees lack respect and trust for new CEO. In the industry, new CEO was considered a "snake in the grass" and he proved this reputation to be true to both loyal DuPonters and to the state of Delaware.

    Advice to Management

The damage has been done. Use your skill set to move on & mentor others of the dangers you have witnessed

    I worked at DuPont

    Pros

The excellent people you work with. Many opportunities to grow and relative freedom to do your job as you best see fit.

    Cons

Recent leadership style demotivates employees. Narrow minded business decisions always centered on cutting costs demotivate employees and lead to a non- sustainable business model.

    Advice to Management

Take some lessons from the past!
