I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

There is few positives to be said for Diebold Nixdorf. Discrimination and favoritism is rife in the Dublin office. Bullying is also rife but goes ignored when reported or excuses are made to justify said bullying. No background checks appear to be done on staff, there are some questionable characters currently working there. No permanent contracts offered. Stressful work for just above minimum wage. I would avoid working here at all costs. One would question the validity of their own company polices which arguably are often ignored or only followed for certain people. Very few career progression opportunities particularity if you join the helpdesk department and are a woman.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly staff. Great progression opportunities. Opportunity to join any department. Travel opportunities to HQ to study company products from knowledgeable trainers.

    Cons

On-the-job training can be lacking, but there are wise people to help and guide you. Training comes from local knowledge, rather than company HQ. Whole country operation tends to be a silo. True global, cooperative strategy is only being realised now.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great company to work, good career progression opportunities

    Cons

The team on the helpdesk is very poor, huge division between staff members with some even resulting in verbal arguments both during work and in the work group chat. No management structure from Team leaders everyone seems to have an input on what others should and shouldn't do when it should be down to management and TLs. No help available when needed, back log of work the helpdesk is expected to take calls log tickets etc and yet we aren't allowed off the phones in order to do so in a timely manner Terrible IT systems for a company who specialises in a technical background they're stuck too much in 2008 and need to come into 2018. Company uses recruitment companies on temp contracts which doesn't provide stability, there's hassle every week with time sheets so pay is never the same usually always behind. By far the best company I've worked for regarding potential and mission statement but with regards to everything else Diebold could not get any worse.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is a nice group of staff based on the helpdesk in Citywest,Dublin however this goup changes frequently due to their low salary. The Engineers are very friendly and help each other out if they need support. The location of the office in Citywest Dublin is good and accessible to all routes. The Wincor Nixdorf brand and products are generally very good ...they're normally top of the product range. Wincor Nixdorf Ireland has become a very good service company and the customers like the personal touch they get from the engineers.

    Cons

There is way too much focus on some of the engineers KPI's such as number of calls and repeat calls. If there are no calls in then the engineer can not control this. Repeat calls are also automatically measured against the engineers even if the fault is down to the customer or vandalism. Repeat calls can also be incorrectly measured against the wrong engineer especially if another engineer interrupted the call. The system that some of the managers use for reviewing stats are not accurate. However some of the stats can help engineers to better understand how they are performing but this is normally only after reviewing them in more detail. A lot of the good experienced managers left in the last year or two. This also includes the Irish MD.Senior managers in the UK have no loyalty to the staff and managers in Ireland and they don't fully understand the Irish operation and customer culture. Since Ireland merged with the UK company the working conditions have changed and continue to deteriorate by stealth without any meaningful consultation with staff. Staff have very little confidence in HR in Ireland and feel that they will be singled out if they raise any issue or concern either big or small...this is not a nice place to work under these conditions and its currently on a downhill slope!! There is also very little or no prospects for promotion for engineers outside of Dublin ..possibly a max of three or four promotions for engineers in the last 10 years.
