I have been working at Comfort Keepers full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Supportive teams who genuinely care, supporting people to live independently at home. Collaborative colleagues who support you when required. Fast paced environment where every day is different. A CEO who has a passion for caring and who demands that the quality of care is the very best that can be given to clients. Comfort Keepers have fantastic training available to help employees to develop, both on-line and... practical.

    Cons

The fast pace does not suit everyone.

I worked at Comfort Keepers full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You do meet some nice colleagues and benefits can be good as well as some occasional perks like half days and paid for lunches.

    Cons

Managers always undermine the more junior staff. Coordinators are overworked and stressed as are the carers. If you voice concern you are accused of being dramatic. Some managers are very immature. Constant push for growth, when the company can barely keep carers on board. A lot of managers push their responsibilities on the Coordinators. Very hard work in terms with dealing with problematic, tiring phone calls from... angry people. Can be very draining. Employees that suck up to management receive special treatment. Very toxic environment in regards to gossip, whispering and people talking behind each other's backs. You never know where you stand, it can be very unnerving.

    Advice to Management

Sort out the gossiping and the toxicity. Hire more professional, mature management. Have a bit more empathy towards your staff and understand that the type of work they do is high stress already so you should be trying to ease it, not add to it or you'll keep losing competent, hardworking people you so clearly need.

I worked at Comfort Keepers full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Clients are lovely an little do they know how we are treated

    Cons

Eight weeks notice to get a weekend off Eight weeks notice to terminate employment. Clearly goes against the working time directive. Management treat you with no respect and treat you like fodder. Do they not realize we keep them employed. Pay your own mileage and no incentive whatsoever. Never again.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff and stop treating us with so much disrespect as without us you have no job
