Not great to work for but the staff are great.

      Pros

It's a job and will have to do for the time being. But as soon as the job scene improves, I will be running out to get another job. Other staff are very supportive and we always have a laugh. W

      Cons

Its all about cost and nothing else matters. A lot of lip service about values and caring about staff but in reality, we are all just a number. Lots of extra hours and weekend work required to meet our targets. Senior Management don't understand the business and what we do yet we are all treated like little kids. Too many restructures which are confusing and demoralising. Bad for morale that 3 of old Senior Managers (who were very good and knew the business and techincal issues) have all left without having secured jobs before they left.

Toxic company culture - modern day slavery

24 Jan 2020 - Anonymous Employee in Clonakilty

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      Work / life balance, mid-management

      Cons

Everything. The top management resists the changes coming from the UK mother company (nationalism). Nepotism is openly happening. Paddy Morrissey, the Managing Director has no clue how to run a business and he does not care about the people at all. The Senior management is not cooperating, they either openly attack each other or stab each other in the back. Attrition is massive, some areas are above 60%. Salary is very low, way below the competition average and below the regional average. Benefits are non existant or useless in Ireland. Training and career opportunities are non existing. If you are hired as an agent, 10 years from now you will be an agent with the same salary. If you want to apply for a job at Little Island, you are good to go, as the useless SMT almost never goes there and they have almost no influence on those contracts. LI office is a good place to work. If you are a professional with lots of knowledge and experience AVOID this company at all cost.

      Poor Pay

      Pros

The staff that you work with are fantastic in general and couldn't do more for you

      Cons

Poor pay and terrible pay structure. Even if you manage to get a pitiful pay rise, you could be waiting 3-4 months for it to go through with no explanation as to why. Communication from senior management is non-existant. Pay entry staff minimum wage and then when they get promoted they cap the increase. It's a joke

      Cons

Terrible. Promised promotions that never happend. Sleezy atmosphere. Dont bother if you want a successful career and don't want to deal with playground bullying esp from one team manager she's awful

It will do if you _need_ a job, but view it as a stepping stone to a proper job and not a career.

3 Aug 2021 - Finance Officer in Darlington, England

      Pros

Made some good friends Working from home Free parking, tea and coffee (If you ever see the office, that is. $$$$$$$$)

      Cons

Senior management are clueless. Decisions are based on spreadsheet numbers. Every single task you do is to be logged on a rudimentary system so that said senior management can see your work output as a percent. The harder you work the more they come to expect and it will get to a point where your daily target is 130% or more. Progression comes from not what you know but who you know. Brown nose here and you will go far, that's assuming the jobsworths occupying the management roles vacate those positions for you. Operations roles are literally more valued than any Financial roles as demonstrated in a company wide payrise that snubbed everyone in Finance. If you get a choice, go for an Ops role. You are a number here. The only acknowledgement you will get is if you do something wrong. Actual competent staff are allowed to leave and will be replaced with anyone off the street.
