I have been working at BlackBerry full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I came to Cylance because they were a privately owned company, best of breed, and had a cycling culture at it's core values. All of that has changed unfortunately. Cylance Protect was a simple and easy product to deploy and protect customer IT environments, once bought out it has since become a toxic work environment.

    Cons

-Pay is inconsistent and continues to get cut. lots of payroll errors as well. -despite what you hear, you'll see hiring from the outside and never promoting from within -Many colleagues that are disrespectful and unfriendly to LGBTQIA community -Someone was hired as my boss a year ago, never was approved to be my boss by HR. This person continued to call the shots as if they were the boss and the Director of Sales protected them, HR took no action, absolute leadership train wreck. - we are faced with not being payed on upsells, add ons, or even our year over year lift that we add into our renewals. I remember first signing on for this job, we were paid on total contract value, it's now annual contract value- a huge pay cut..when you sell a three year deal. Our comp plan at the moment is a 20%-30% pay cut, there is no possible way to achieve your ACV unless you take from yourself in future FQ by bringing renewals in early- eventually that strategy will run out of steam.. There is not any forward thinking logic there.. and our new manager is doing little to protect us. We've escalated it and aren't getting anywhere.. it's like no one has our backs. -I was offered another position on a sales team with a manager that I had to previously complain to HR about because he's of homophobic remarks on the sales floor. I don't think that working under a homophobic manager is the best place for me in this company. There has to be a healthier alternative than this.

I have been working at BlackBerry for less than a year

    Pros

Decent facility and working environment, good people and high security throughout the building.

    Cons

The work I did in particular was a joke, it was not a "development" position. Not a lot of technical skills required, meaning you rarely get challenged to keep your interest in the work.
