    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Bayer full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Base salary competitive Vehicle policy is nice

    Cons

Management doesn’t want to hear bad news and refuses to listen to sales staff Nobody gets advanced for doing a good job. Many “fail up” or use the buddy system to advance Supply management leaves a lot to be desired. Tough to sell when we don’t have supply. Sales incentive plan is capped so why try harder when you don’t get rewarded more. I don’t think you can be a people manager if you return a phone call. Bad employees are impossible to get rid of

    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at Bayer full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible field-based schedule, company vehicle, working with farmers & seed retail.

    Cons

Inept "middle management" that can be biased against women (especially if you're young), Field-based management isn't open to new ideas and approaches, quashing motivation, opportunity for upward trajectory is limited unless you want to move to St. Louis, pay comparative to competitors is low with huge gaps between coworkers, benefits are increasingly rising with little to no COL increase, no accountability for mistakes made along the chain, sales goals aren't realistic most of the time, pushing Climate to dealers/retailers that are absolutely not interested creating undue stress on employees, etc.
