    I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

    Worked with some really decent people across all levels. Some good work opportunities. Good comp.

    Cons

    Culture of advancing individuals who manage without conscience or moral compass whilst masquerading as caring people managers. Despite considerable anti bullying rhetoric, organisation will look the other way if it's ends justify the means.

    Advice to Management

    Change the culture from the top down.

    I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great first step and a career notch on your CV. You won't be changing the world here or even remotely close but it gives you a good sense of confidence and a good sense of work place practices if you are fresh out of college. Great work life balance though, very family oriented however and there is a clear preference in terms of flexibility for people with families which is a little unfair but at least it is there....

    Cons

    Hard work and exceptional talent doesn't really count as much as it should. Spend time and money rejuvenating old redundant processes and let developers focus on development not bureaucracy. As a company, the bank tries desperately to think and move like a tech company but ultimately stiffened regulations and fear of change from senior managements brings good development and projects to a halt. Advice to Management

    Respect, endorse and appropriately compensate the most pragmatic people or they will leave and give the competition the greater edge. Stop believing just because it requires hard work and risk that it is a no go option. Change is good.

      I have been working at Bank of America full-time

      Pros

      The benefits are great and the development teams are great

      Cons

      Too much micro management; Salaries are not in line with the market; A lot of hoops to jump through for promotion that are not aligned with your role; Management hire based on meeting statistic rather then the best person for a position and it affects the teams;

      Advice to Management

      Reward the people who do the best job, not those who are socially acceptable and present a good image of the company;
