      A great group of hard-working employees

      The owner is out of touch with reality and typically is the smartest person in the room, no matter what the subject matter. While he is a brilliant engineer, he seems to believe he is also an expert at everything else. He lives in California, and except for occasional visits, is not available or approachable, and uses remote video conferencing to communicate with the management team. BPM Microsystems is a small company that is run like it is a big corporation; the company has poor morale because of it. There have been two rounds of layoffs in less than six months and a significant number of key employees have left the company for other opportunities. Annual reviews and salary adjustments were few or not at all for years. The "generous profit sharing program" made no payments for years. All the statements in this paragraph are truthful and objective, and are not the product of a "sore loser".

      Thanks for the feedback. Your advice is solid, and your criticism is mostly based in facts-- there have been two layoffs in an attempt to get spending in line with revenue. Bottom line, we needed to get leaner to become profitable. It’s always difficult when you have to let friends go, and there were hard choices that had to be made. We’re not out of the woods yet, but indications are strong that the hard choices are yielding good results. In addition, we’re hopeful that the folks from the last layoff can be rehired one we’re back on firm ground. We wish them all the best in whatever they choose.

      We Have Met The Enemy and It Is Our Own President

      This company has great potential and has lot of good people. However, there is just ONE major obstacle – the company's president. He knows everything about everything - just ask him. A true legend in his own mind.

      Cons

      THE REVOLVING DOOR. The Senior Leadership Team has incurred over 100% turnover in the past 12 months. The CEO is an expert at excuse making. When he creates a problem within the company, his immediate resolution is to blame one of the SLT members and then fire them. So far, we have seen 4 CFO’s come and go; three sales leaders get fired; two senior engineers depart; two Device Support leaders gone; we are on our second marketing manager; on our second HR director; and our second product manager. It is only a matter of time until they are gone as well. It is a revolving door and after all this turnover, we are precisely where we started – on the verge of going out of business. The only senior executive that has not been fired is the CEO. Perhaps a look in the mirror would make it clear who should be the next to hit the road.

      BPM has been in business for over 34 years and has a amazing tenure with many of our employees' in various departments. Stating that we have over 100% turn over in the last 12 month is simply not accurate. Although, I respect a person's right to convey their experience , it is only fair that this should be done with integrity and accuracy.

      Pros

      None- used to be the atmosphere that fostered good morale and teamwork and good employee relations but that is all gone

      Cons

      Everything- low pay, poor benefits, no morale, best employee assets gone, management horrible
