I have been working at B&M Retail

    Pros

Flexibility with hours and overtime. Discount Good team and hardworking. Friendships Enjoy merchandising and working as part of a team.

    Cons

Bigger contracts would be nice for the sales assistants that are hard workers. As supervisors and managers get the most hrs so overtime is not consistant. Just your min contracted hrs.

    Advice to Management

Give your hard working staff bigger contracts and have less staff on small contracts. Encourage your best staff and help in there development.

    Pros

Great office environment, a lovely team to be a part of. You get a lot of freedom to change things if you feel like they can be done better, new ideas are always welcomed!

    Cons

Don't pay as much as other companies might. However, the people you work with do make up for it.

I worked at B&M Retail full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great colleagues, 10% discount, free parking. Fast progression and great internal learning courses in the the step up programme. Bonus scheme.

    Cons

No work life balance especially if you have a young family. The way some upper management speak to you on visits is horrendous and not motivational especially when you are new to a role or store. Constant high volume of stock. Too focused on saving wages and not their people.

    Advice to Management

ROM's need to have a more accurate view of the way stores look day to day and not what is portrayed on visits people working 16 hour + shifts to make the store practically perfect isn't realistic and shouldn't be celebrated by AM's but is. Let stores spend what they save on wages and standards on a whole will improve.

I have been working at B&M Retail full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The job role is ok

    Cons

Not enough money for what you do , management don’t appreciate and never got breaks, little to no training, management are fake and back stabbing

    Advice to Management

It’s pointless as they don’t listen to anyone and the problem is higher than store management. I’m talking regional
