Pros
An interesting strategy (hiring young, ambitious, energetic & bright managers) for building a consulting company. You can build out your own business unit and depending on your line manager , it can be fun and a good foundational XP.
Cons
Without industry XP or proper investment, business managers can end up being recruiters over the long run. The meaning of working with Amaris can quickly become lost.

Good company to boost career
14 Apr 2019 - Software Engineer in LuxembourgRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great international team, mostly because they send you to some of their client sites to provide them with a service, you can come easily to big enterprise companies. Good learning experience and improvement of skills for motivated and proactive people. Many different enterprise sectors that Amaris is involved with, can potentially give you an opportunity to relocate or to change industry in which you have more motivation to go into....if you try hard enough
Cons
Management is not having proper attitude and business communication with their employees, so sometimes you just feel as a number, and feeling more like you're employee of a client more then your company. Salary and benefits are very modest and don't expect anything too much. Not very prompt in answering/assisting team members in simple (but important) queries from team itself.

Very bad salary with no options for improvement
2 Dec 2019 - Consultant in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The team buildings are very nice.
Cons
- The salary is very low. - I had the impression that the company was trying to hire only people from less developed countries so that they can pay them less. - When I had my first review I asked for a raise and my manager told me that he didn't have any feedback from the client for the last 3 months. This gave me the impression that the management didn't really care about employee performances.

Rapid growth perspectives in a dynamic environment!
17 May 2023 - Experienced Manager in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I got the opportunity to join Amaris on 2-year VIE contract. My goal was to enhance my international exposure and discover dynamic professional environment. Safe to say that my experience has lived up to the expectations! As a manager within the Health Economics and Market Access team, my role focuses on business development and recruitment activities. I chose this position as I appreciate the challenges that come with sales and working in the competitive and fast-paced consulting world. It was great to see that I was trusted by the senior leadership team as soon as I joined the company. I was quickly able to create my own network of accounts and clients, and to showcase how Amaris differentiates itself from its competitors. When I joined, the initial trainings and onboarding processes were clearly outlined from day 1 and my team members were very supportive. I am based in Toronto but the management encourages me to go meet clients in person - I've been able to travel to Montreal and the US for work. Our Canadian offices are growing and it has been a pleasure to work here for the past 1.5 years. I was able to rapidly progress within the company and have been promoted to Experience Manager after a year. My scope of responsibilities has broaden and it was amazing to be able to evolve in a short period. Overall, I appreciate being able to collaborate in international environment and have learnt a lot from my journey so far.
Cons
Not all offices have a dedicated support staff and it sometimes can be tricky to deal with IT or procurement issues.

Good learning experience with good team environment
14 Mar 2023 - Associate Market Access Consultant in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The main leads are very smart and try their best to defend the team, although sometimes they are very busy, but they will try to give you 5 min of their time if needed The team environment is amazing, everyone is very nice and helpful The growing curve is also very motivating: if you are ambitious and you show you want to take more responsibilities, the opportunity will come!
Cons
Salary (30k after 2 years in the company, with a 6% raise while the inflation is 10%) - the problem is not the market access or health economics department, the issue comes from the whole structure of the company Not the best recognition policy, i.e. we won X millons and we received an e-mail saying "congratulations" - please congratulate the team by giving them 0.5 day off, or a 100 eur bonus, or the 24th of dec as a holiday You work extra time sometimes

Amaris informed my present company that I went there for an interview
21 May 2023 - Business Manager in BrusselsRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They have a nice office.
Cons
I went for an interview at Amaris, for a business manager position, and the day after I'm in a meeting with my boss that somehow found out that I went to an interview there. It's important to note that I was the only one knowing about the interview.

A good company to work for
14 Apr 2023 - Manager in Lisbon, Lisbon DistrictRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Amaris cares about the professional development of their employees - Amaris offers fair salaries to their employees - The environment in the company is very positive, people are friendly - The office location is adequate for anybody that lives in the Greater Metropolitan Lisbon Area
Cons
- Some of the processes sometimes are not well organized - There's a lot of rotation in staff which originates some rotation in the consultants - The HR department is not built to help in most HR related topics, unfortunately its culture is more of a burocratic one and the "classic" HR topics are handled by the Managers, which sometimes doesn't work out as well because they are flooded with work
