Pros

Small and intimate company, if you have good relationships with manager it is a great place to work. Owners are engaged and decent. They improved their learning and development in the time I was there.

Cons

Branch experiences can vary a lot.

Not very good at all.

Pros

Unfortunately, very few. Some of the team members are decent people trying to get by like everyone else.

Cons

The work environment at Ashford Timber is one of the worst I’ve experienced. It's unprofessional, poorly managed, and mentally draining. There’s a clear culture of favoritism, zero accountability from management, and no regard for employee welfare. Communication is disorganized, and decisions are made on a whim, often creating more problems than they solve. Morale is consistently low, and high turnover is the norm — not a red flag anyone seems concerned about. Feedback is ignored, and efforts to improve anything are met with resistance or outright hostility. It feels like a place stuck in the past, where leadership rules through pressure and fear rather than respect or vision.

Pros

No pros for me personally.

Cons

Plenty. No care for mental health, no values worth being part of.
