    Do you love brown nosing? Well great, Allstate is the place for you. We love people who think like us, our favorite slogan is “focus on the positive.” All those good benefits of working for Allstate listed on our website are all lies, but focus on the positive, you have a job.

    Cons

    Run, run far. Allstate, at least in Atlanta is not the place to work. I have never in my life seen anything as scary as working for Allstate. They have literally brainwashed employees into thinking it is ok to take on more responsibility for no additional pay. They like to try before you buy, for at least 3-6 months, prior to discussing your pay. SMH. Also, they are asking wayyyyy too much from you for the little pay they give out any way. They make you salaried so that you can log in on weekends, evenings, you name it. Not to mention, they will book your schedule up with pointless meetings and then drop a bunch of claims on your desk so that you have to work out after hours just to keep up. Allstate pushes nothing but lies to get you in the door, it’s a different story when you get inside. There is no 37 hour work week, no flexible schedule, no working from home at least not at this location. Do not be fooled about the work from home, yes for COVID 19 we were, but in one of the pointless meetings we had we were advised that we will be going back to office. Because they just love to micromanage, which is funny because most of the upper management haven’t touched a claim in over 10 years.

    Good PTO Good benefits- 401k match and pension Decent hours Stable corporate job Can maintain work life balance Work from home flexibility Supportive teammates

    Cons

    Claims isn’t for everyone. There also isn’t much flexibility within Allstate to transfer to a different department, which is the main reason I am starting to look for a new job. If you feel content just having good work life balance and decent hours, then this role would be good for you. You won’t feel any “fulfillment” doing this role. It’s a very high stress/ fast paced job and at times it feels your compensation does not match what you put up with. Other insurance companies do pay more than Allstate does. Also, you need to stay with Allstate to keep the pension and 401k match benefits so really make sure you can stay for 3 years before taking the role. Regarding the process- as an adjuster there is a lot of bureaucracy and red tape. You aren’t given much autonomy and freedom as management is constantly breathing down your neck to meet certain metrics.

    Moved to AZ, NC to save cost and laid off people that were more qualified to hire new employees in AZ.

    Moving so quickly that they are not making changes transparently and lowering the morale of their employees
