    Good Company but could improve

    Pros

Overall the company is great. Management takes care of staff and there is room for growth.

    Cons

I do think company culture and team environment can be improved. They try to bring people back into the office with "breakfast and happy hour". A lot of the work we do can be done remotely and there isnt a need to be in the office. It got to a point where i was doing the same tasks everyday and just needed a change in scenery.

    Not bad for a bit...

    Pros

Flexible working hours, very startup-like environment. A lot of the work is unsupervised so you can get away with not doing much. You get to see some interesting funds and meet some interesting people in the market but thats about it. Compensation is also decent for the Greek market

    Cons

Employees in the Greek office are pretty much the "cheap" labor. You don't have opportunities to develop at the same pace as the other offices, meaning that you can't move offices worldwide like the other employees can. Compensation might be decent for the Greek market but its terrible across the board for Aksia. Management doesn't really care. The Greek partner has no clue who the people are, and you get to see him once, at the end of the year reviews where he just reads off a piece of paper and he just gives you your bonus number.

    Bright People, Growing Firm

    Pros

The firm did a surprisingly good job of merging the 2 firms they acquired during Covid (Alignium and TorreyCove). There is a real investment in their research teams- they're really looking for out-of-the-box thinkers, there is a solid culture of informal mentorship, and there's a lot of room for growth.

    Cons

It's an advisory business so the comp won't be as high as GPs', especially at the junior levels - but if you want solid investment training and still have a life (as opposed to jr roles in IB or at a fund) it's a really good place to start your career
