I have been working at Airtricity full-time

    Pros

Consider it a very good place to work, supportive environment, great opportunity for progression within company. Real team and family vibe here. Has become very customer centric over the past 4 years. Very proud to work for company and very happy in role

    Cons

Can sometimes be slow to change, however this has improved over last number of years. We can sometimes get caught up in too much red tape but again there has been improvements here.

I worked at Airtricity full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

People, encourages growth, flexible working, culturally diverse

    Cons

Salary doesn't meet industry standard and internal promotions are always underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Reward existing employees who are right for the job with full salary increase. A lot of talent is lost because of this

I worked at Airtricity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Near the M50 if you're coming from south side, some local parking (more on that later) and there's a canteen on site for those without a packed lunch.

    Cons

The rot had firmly set in by the time I fled to greener better-paying pastures. The culture, while supposedly focussing on safety, neglects any sort of job safety of mental health awareness. I've heard from people who had been on medical leave called up and instructed to come into work! The politicking and poor pay has left a shell of a company, with customers and employees leaving in droves, meanwhile certain... managers get promoted beyond any sort of obvious prior positive impact on customer numbers. Consultants are deeply embedded in the organisation - at each level, with lower-level technical roles costing the company 100k+ per year, while the full-time staff make around a third of that. If you're working here, there's a better than even chance that you're being paid half the market rate for what you do, in a toxic environment, with woeful facilities and morale.

    Advice to Management

Why did you bother with the great place to work survey? The results were suppressed or fudged anyway.

I worked at Airtricity full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a severe focus on employee and contractor safety in the company, with some over the top training in safety and regulations in the office.

    Cons

There are so many things wrong with this company, at a fundamental level. Morale is through the floor and both employees and customers are leaving in droves. The solutions typically applied are moving around various teams in the organisation but never addressing any key issues. Pay is below the levels you will get anywhere else and the main management functions are filled with bullying loud mouths and empty heads.... Endless meetings preoccupy management, with conflicting orders broadcast to the minions to inform them of the latest notions and buzzwords. Facilities and compliance are the rudest people you will ever encounter in a professional setting. The hierarchy is riddled with consultants, whose only object is to draw out and complicate projects thereby getting their companies a bigger slice of the pie. Years ago the company decided to outsource the IT functions and basically handed the keys to the kingdom to a number of these consulting companies who charge six figure sums to place basic graduates in to do a role, which because of "headcount restrictions" they won't hire directly for half the price. A sinking ship, avoid.

    Advice to Management

It's too late, you are finding that previous short term solutions you made have only made things worse, and instead of actually trying to fix the root cause of the problem you decide to move Team A to Department B thinking it will somehow fix things, or decide to boost morale by giving out a free branded pen!!!!!!

    Pros

Great team mates at my level, that's about it.

    Cons

If you're not a Baker, Wheeler or best friends with either you will not get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting your girlfriends and family.

I have been working at Airtricity full-time

    Pros

I guess it's fine to get experience if you're looking for an entry level job. Some good work / life balance and remote working if you're in the right area.

    Cons

People seem to be leaving en-masse a the moment. They admit they dont pay high level. Some woeful politics and power struggles, but this is probably rife elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Look why people are leaving!! Those who are left behind won't be far after them...

I worked at Airtricity for less than a year

    Pros

You have a lot more freedom in this job than any job I've ever worked in as your alone the whole day you make up your own schedule. Very good commission structure if you can hit and exceed targets.

    Cons

The fact that your alone all day makes it a very lonely job with your sole contact being the customers you interact with.

    Advice to Management

Very little training was provided, just 1 day of shadowing and 2 days product knowledge, making it an unnecessarily long trial and error period.

    Pros

Good team activity, Chance of advancement .

    Cons

Male Staffs are rude towards women, lack of authority by management.

    Advice to Management

Be Management and control your staff's. There's one thing of office banter and another which is male bullying and blantly sexual harassment and insult

I have been working at Airtricity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nice people. Good Canteen. Near M50 and N11 so location is good, if you can avoid one of the major cons below,

    Cons

A revolving door of staff and managers. Training is a joke. Facilities are the rudest people you could meet and parking is located 20 minutes from the building. Nobody cares about the staff or their concerns. HR are bullies and forget the end of year review. You will be screwed on that at the decision of senior management who treat staff with utter contempt. A disgusting environment. You're expected to be in early... and leave late. Answer calls in the evening or respond to emails after hours. If you don't do it you are not a team player and you're made feel useless. OH and don't forget that managers were actively asked to leave positive reviews on this website. Two reasons to avoid here. Pay is below industry standard and if you need to drive to work forget it.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason you lose staff almost as fast as you lose customers. Arrogant bullies make up the majority of managers. You have no real leaders. Why is that?
