At Morgan McKinley we recruit first rate people who in turn recruit top talent for our clients. Our basic philosophy is to identify individuals with the right qualities to be great recruitment consultants, induct them in our Morgan McKinley values, and then empower them to serve, to specialise and to lead. If we decide to work together at Morgan McKinley it will be, first and foremost, because we believe you share the core beliefs and behaviours that are fundamental to our organisation:
“I always act with integrity and respect and do the right thing.” We build trust because our reputation depends on it, and our reputation means everything. The key word here is always. We always do the right thing.
“I believe in what we are doing and I give my best every day.” We show commitment. That means we give our very best and we see things through. As a top racing driver once said, “To finish first, you must first finish.”
“I engage in open, honest, two-way, timely communications internally and externally.” We always communicate. With colleagues, with clients, with candidates. Above all that means listening. Sometimes the most important thing in communication is to hear what isn’t being said. Sensitivity and empathy are the keys to our success.
“In an ambitious company, I recognise change is essential and I am open to it.” We enjoy getting out of our comfort zone. There’s nothing “routine” about the way we do things at Morgan McKinley. Whereas our competitors will say “We’ve always done it that way”, at Morgan McKinley we say, “If you always do what you’ve done, you’ll always get what you’ve got.” Recruitment is a competitive business and this means we need to stretch beyond the traditional boundaries.
Have you ever thought about taking your career overseas? That's one of the great advantages of working in a business like ours, with it's scale and global reach. For anyone considering an international move, maybe not now, but perhaps in the future, you should speak with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. They can share their valuable knowledge and expertise about Morgan McKinley's various office locations globally, and talk you through the support provided by the company to help facilitate such moves.
I have been working at Morgan McKinley full-time (More than 3 years)
A truly innovative and inspirational company. A global organisation with a local feel. Excellent leadership. Couldn't ask for a better workplace with great opportunities to progress.
So busy with lots on - can be hectic, but that being said the support is great.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing- this is a great place with people at the heart of culture.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan McKinley.
1-Telephone interview with internal recruiter after applying on line.
2-Face to face with team leader and manager, basic interview. CV breakdown, why recruitment, why MMK etc...
3-Behaviour analysis questionnaire via email, to see if you are suited to pressures that come with recruitment and to gauge how you will behave in different scenarios.
4-Presentation and interview with manager and director. During this you have to demonstrate how you will source candidates.
The interview process isn't so bad if you are well prepared. Have a good understanding of recruitment before hand. Also understand that you are applying for a sales role, they are looking for people with solid sales skills.
Found that the internal recruiter and the guys conducting the interviews were not singing off the same hymn sheet at times in terms of what was involved in the role. Also found that the director had no interest in the presentation during 3rd round, checked her phone a few times which was a bit off putting. But all in all it was a pretty average interview interview experience, they all seemed like decent people.
