Small security devices mean big business for Microtec Enterprises. The company is one of Canada's largest security alarm sales, installation, and monitoring companies. Microtec was founded in 1989, and is owned by First National AlarmCap Fund. (Credit provider Securex Investment acquired all of Microtec's outstanding voting shares in 2004. Microtec combined with Securex in 2005 to form the First National AlarmCap Fund.)
