Whether you want to lead a team, the delivery of solutions or customer activist initiatives, HRM is a unique professional services environment with six cornerstone values that permeate everything we do. We operate through two practice groups, Science, Technology and Operations (Life Sciences, IT, Engineering and Supply Chain Selection Teams) and Corporate & Professional Services (HR, Accountancy, Marketing and Legal Selection Teams) in offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
From where we started over 25 years ago, HRM has grown into a leader in talent acquisition services with a blue chip client base and the very best in sourcing technology and industry talent. We are a collaborative network where consultants work together to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and candidate experience. Our structured personal development and career path programmes attract the best recruitment talent to the most rewarding roles.

At HRM wellbeing is important, we believe in a work life balance and recognise the need for a healthy mind and body. We have a dedicated wellbeing committee who focus on making our work environment the best it can be, we have fresh fruit delivered every week to refuel, gym membership to keep us on our toes and regular wellbeing events to bring everyone together for a good cause.
Our teams work extremely hard at HRM and we know how important it is to unwind. Our social committee put great effort into organising fantastic quarterly team outings throughout the year. Already this year we have had a fantastic HRM Quiz and Comedy Night!
We know career progression is important to our employees, that is why HRM offer clear and structured career paths. From day one our employees know how they can progress, fully supported with training workshops and Director mentorship, providing the resources for them to build a successful career with us. We also have a dedicated Performance Coach to offer support and guidance from the start of your career with us.
At HRM we pride ourselves in our culture which is characterised by everyone who works here. We have a commitment and passion to enable success. We deliver this through living our core values in everything we do!
We are Curiousabout people, we want to know what works and what doesn’t, constantly seeking to challenge the status quo. We are Authenticwhich for us means self-aware, genuine and results oriented, leading with our hearts first. We are Empathetic, influencing by building consensus and gaining the commitment of all stakeholders. We exude Ambition believing in the expression of personal leadership qualities. We emphasise strong Judgement in our decision-making and the solutions we provide for customers. We ensure Mutuality & Collegiality in all our internal and external relationships and believe only relationships built on mutual respect are worthwhile.
Michael O’Leary – Chief Executive
Forever sharing knowledge and pushing for innovative ideas our CEO likes to think outside the box and has led HRM’s success over the past 25 years. Heavily involved in all aspects of the business he is at his happiest when out working with clients. If you happen to spot a large black motorbike outside our Dublin office, that’s his! Mindfulness for Michael is escaping into a helmet and on to the bike.
Paul O’Donnell – Operations Director
Paul is the mastermind behind our operations here at HRM. So he spends much of his time on the road between our Dublin, Cork and Galway offices. He spends his time working closely with each of our recruitment teams to develop great services and solutions that ensure our success. Unwinding at the weekends for Paul is spending quality time with his family, playing football or hurling with his kids in South Galway, where he lives. He also loves a spot of carpentry whenever he gets the opportunity.
Joanne Lanigan – Director – HR & Executive Search
Client experience is at the heart of all Joanne does in HRM. In addition to leading our national HR selection group, Joanne is responsible for customer growth strategies, helping all our selection teams to build added value in to all our customer experiences. With two young kids, Joanne enjoys whisking them away to the family holiday home in the West of Ireland for sun (or rain) on the beach.
Sarah Good – Associate Director – Marketing
A junior international athlete, Sarah now runs to keep fit and braves the city centre on her bike to get to work every day. Leading our Marketing Selection team in HRM, Sarah has developed lasting relations with her clients over the past ten years. Knowing exactly what they want and where to get it and still manages to squeeze this all into a four-day week. As busy as this sounds, Sarah has her hands even more full at the weekend with her one year old boy ruling the house.
Our success is built on being a firm that attracts exceptional talent. For ourselves as well as our customers.
We enable our customers to deliver their business goals by bringing great talent to their organisations. To achieve this we recruit equally great talent to our own organisation so that our customers experience HRM’s real differentiator, our people.
Our simple objective is to empower your performance. We invest significantly in technology, development, research, resources and people to ensure you have everything you need and more to deliver the talent others cannot reach.
Employees at HRM have two strands to their work. The first of these is Customer Engagement, being the permanent, executive, contract and advisory assignments that we undertake. The second is Programme Participation, which are non-customer initiatives and projects designed to let you shape our organisation and the experience it creates for all stakeholders.
We offer a compelling value proposition to experienced and new entrant recruitment professionals. Our culture is ideally suited to mature, ambitious, collegiate professionals who recognise that change is upon us and wish to be leading the charge.
Whether you join our business as an experienced recruitment professional or a new entrant to the industry, you are an independently minded person who wants to make a difference. We enable that quickly because our culture is flat structured, based on networks and connectivity to all and not traditional hirearchy. Careers are developed along paths of increased influence and progressed on ability to create value for all stakeholders, not just on tenure.
We support your performance with internal performance coaches, a research team and a digital and print marketing team. We provide our talent with external leadership coaching, the industry’s most advanced database and analytics technology and a blue chip customer base with a customer activist programme.
Our career planning includes advancement in people leadership and customer leadership strands. Having the stretch potential to grow your career is as important to us as we know it is to you.

Advice to Management
The best management team I have worked with to date. They are all very approachable, encouraging and a fantastic open door policy.
You know what they say, "Don't fix what's not broken" - keep doing what you're doing
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HRM (Dublin, Co. Dublin) in January 2015.
Very professional, not too stressful but definitely prep needed. I got a good feel for the company too and I really liked the offices too. If you are going to interview with HRM, make sure you have figures and targets prepared.
