    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton UK LLP in December 2018.

    Interview

    Application:

I applied online through the website. It was a quick turn around in getting me through the stages to an assessment day. GT were great at keeping you in the loop, with regular updates on your application.

    Interview:

The day itself went really well and was comprised of a group exercise and interview. GT allocated you a current graduate within the role you were applying to, prior to the assessment day, giving a great opportunity to get any questions you had off your chest. They were also at the lunch on the day, providing you with a greater insight into the role and GT culture. Although unsuccessful at Final Stage they provided me with some fantastic feedback, which I will apply to my future career endeavours. Further to that, I was invited to the Final Stage talent network which has been a great help. I've been introduced to other top organisations and the team at Final Stage looked over my CV as well as providing me with interview tips for other companies.

Since joining Grant Thornton from a Big 5 consulting firm last year, I've learnt a lot about my new firm. Here are the top 3 things I've learnt: 1. It really is a company that cares It's become common now for firms to advertise having a supportive and flexible company culture, but Grant Thornton has lived up to that claim during my time here so far.

  • Wendy Russell reflects on how Grant Thornton supports her as a working parent. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMB7s

The benefits of headspace and how Grant Thornton supports me as a working parent (via Passle)

I have been reflecting on my return to work following my second period of maternity leave. With my first child, my mind was occupied constantly with the distractions of being a first time mother - Is my child's development normal? How many groups can I go to for some adult conversation?
