I worked at Axway full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very good work life balance.
Possibility to work from home 2 days per week
    Flexible working hours
Nice tech stack. Java, Python, Docker, AWS, Linux
People are very nice, I didn't hear any fights or shouting
Company is listening to what people have to say and takes action
Parties and nights out are organized regularly
Dublin management is very approachable and easy to talk to. It feels like they are your team mates.

    Cons

To meet some regulations required by some very important customers, the development process is slow. Too many steps until the code reaches production.
Not clear what is the company mission.

    Advice to Management

When communicating to employees use a simpler language. Try not to sell that much and make the message you try to transmit simpler and concise.

    Technical Product Owner/Product Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Axway (Dublin, Co. Dublin).

    Interview

Applied through an external recruitment agency - CV, some pre-interview questionnaire docs about technical experience and API design
After couple days I submitted my CV, Axway HR arranged a WebEx video conference with their VP of Product and two of senior product owners/managers.
It was a 30 min conference.

Received the feedback after couple of days - NOT SELECTED - another person is been considered/offer given - no details on what went wrong at my side.
Overall it was a good experience - entire team was pretty decent to deal with.

    Interview Questions

    • Interviewers did not waste any time talking about things that are obvious from CV but they got straight into the main topic

      They concentrated on candidate
           - Communication skills; specifically about explaining the product capabilities
           - Product Management behavioral skills
           - Technical capabilities around APIs. Kubernetes/Docker

      Some of the key questions
      1) Describe about your current product ? What does it do?
      2) What business features does it offer? What technologies are used?
      3) Talk about few example requirements that your product addressed?
      4) What is your product vision?
      5) How do you priorities backlog/stories?
      6) Did you ever rejected a feature request? and why?
      5) What is a Microservice and What is an API?
      6) Did you design APIs?
      7) Did you deploy solutions on Kubernetes? (what hand-son experience do you've)   1 Answer
