    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EirGrid (Dublin, Co. Dublin) in June 2021.

    Interview

First round with IT manager, Sett ops and HR. Second with 2 senior management.
You are asked to prepare ‘competency’ based questions; to me, it had very little to do with my technical knowledge. Very oddly set format.
There is not much in the compensation package - no health care, not negotiable at all.
40k yearly, 6% contribution to the pension scheme, 23 days hols. that’s about it.
No WFH flexibility because apparently the job requires communication on site ( that just doesn’t sit with me well as they were fully online for past year)
Stingy attitude and again, the interview format was very odd, no technical questions or tests.

    Interview Questions

    • When you had to recommend something over something else - walk me through the process- what you considered and how you went about it.
How do you work under pressure?
      What is your biggest achievement?
How did you deal with a conflict with your coworker - how you went about it and solve it?
Tell me about the time you presented a solution but your college’s got selected.   Answer Question
