Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;
Assist in developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules in coordination with senior project managers and stakeholders. This involves breaking down the project into tasks, setting deadlines, and identifying resource requirements.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Help monitor project budgets and expenses, and track financial aspects of the project to ensure it stays within budget. This may involve cost estimating, reviewing invoices, and managing change orders.
Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between various project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding project progress, changes, and issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and other relevant records. Proper documentation is crucial for tracking progress and addressing any potential legal or regulatory concerns.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may arise during the project and work with the project team to develop mitigation plans. This involves monitoring safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Quality Control: Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure that construction work meets industry standards and project specifications.
Resource Management: Help coordinate and allocate resources, such as labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure the smooth flow of work on the construction site.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following;
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in the construction industry or as an assistant project manager is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage project documentation and schedules effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
