I would guess that you would want to accurately convey the potential of the project within a predetermined timeframe. Ideally you want to sell the vision of the project while staying realistic. I made the point that there are several ingredients to proper stakeholder management -- especially when there are many (with often disparate goals and needs) involved in a single project. I stressed the importance of excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, sharp organizational skills and the ability to inspire confidence and maintain authority as the PM. Less

Tell me about a fundraising campaign you have run.

I had a bit of trouble answering this question because the job description did not indicate that this was a position doing fundraising per se. It described it as a communications position that was housed in the development department and that assisted quite a bit with fundraising, but I was told during the call that this position is the only communications position in the whole organization. So I didn't think I in this position would actually be the one responsible for running fundraising campaigns (especially when there are designated/official fundraisers for the organization). Less
