Looking back on my recent hiring journey at Payactiv (SDS-IT), overall it took about 2-3 weeks and went fairly smoothly. However, there were a few bumps along the way that highlighted opportunities for improvement in the HR department.
One thing that stood out was the delay in getting my appointment letter after the offer—about a week of waiting! Also, getting my hands on the company laptop turned into a bit of a scavenger hunt, with multiple trips needed before I finally snagged it on day two.
And don't get me started on the new employee hamper—I practically became a regular at the HR office, with several visits before I finally got it on my 15th day.
Reflecting on these experiences, it's clear that clearer communication and smoother processes could make a big difference in streamlining the onboarding experience for new hires. Here's to learning and improving together!
